In 2016, the Army brought me to Alaska where I proudly served with the 25th ID as an infantryman, completing a deployment to Afghanistan. After much contemplation, I decided to make Alaska my home and transitioned from Active Duty Army to join the Alaska National Guard. Now, I serve as an Infantryman one weekend a month.
Since leaving the Army, I’ve discovered a deep passion for helping fellow service members, so when the opportunity to volunteer with Gold Star Peak opened up, I jumped at it.
The mountains hold meaning for me and having lost friends and fellow Soldiers during my service, I want to help make Gold Star Peak possible for others. I am determined to make a positive difference in the lives of service members and veterans, and their families ensuring they receive the support they truly deserve.
In my free time I like to embrace the incredible Alaskan outdoors, relishing the beauty of both summer and winter. Whether it’s cross-country skiing in the snowy months or hiking and salmon fishing during the summer, I enjoy being outside.
