The Heart of a Ranger
CPL Benjamin S. Kopp, a U.S. Army Ranger, was wounded in combat on 10 July 2009 and passed on 18 July. He saved six fellow Rangers and, as an organ donor, impacted over 60 lives, including Judy, who received his heart.
Fifteen years later, on 10 March 2025, Judy passed away. In tribute, Ben’s mother joined an honorary climb, witnessing signs from nature—ravens and a soaring eagle—symbolizing Ben’s enduring spirit. A flag was flown, and a second dog tag was placed in his honor.
